Sleiman from Greece: Democracy can only be achieved through moderation

Lebanese President Michel Sleiman stressed on Friday the importance of the Arab movements seeking democracy, hoping that the devolution of power will not proceed on a sectarian and extremist basis.             

Following his meeting with the Greek speaker of Parliament, Sleiman said that democracy could only be achieved through moderation, calling for granting the Palestinian people their rights. He noted that minorities should show a wider participation in Middle Eastern politics.
