REPORT: Israel intensifies international campaign against Palestinian authority

Within the framework of the campaign dedicated to intimidate the European countries which criticized the settlement policy, the Israeli leaders slammed the European Union’s states and accused them of reiterating their old position when they fell silent on the Nazi. The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu launched an international campaign before the European media to attack the President of the Palestinian authority Mahmoud Abbas after he has threatened to have recourse to the International Court to end the settlement projects.

In this context, Netanyahu criticized the Europeans position saying: “You cannot accept that the Jewish build settlements in Jerusalem as the International Community expressed its anger, while when the Palestinian leaders call for destroying Israel, the world keeps silent.”             

Accordingly, the Israeli position on Abbas and Meshaal’s speech turned into an excuse to launch a new batch of sanctions, among which further settlements and the destruction of Palestinian houses claiming that they are unauthorized. On the other hand, the deputies and ministers of the right wing escalated their demands, calling for modifying the army’s instructions and granting it the right to fire live ammunitions at the Palestinian protesters, following scenes showing the Israeli soldiers fleeing the stones thrown by the Palestinians.

In this regard, a deputy form Jerusalem municipality said that the destruction of houses is a violation and is considered a crime according to International Laws.               

Regarding the international campaign, a photo will be published in one European country, showing Abbas hugging Meshaal, under the title: “they do not want peace, they want to destroy Israel”. Avigdor Lieberman has asked Jewish organizations in Europe to publish advertisements that include the mentioned photo, offering around half a billion Euros.
