One Lebanese national killed, others injured in Iraq explosion

According to information made available to LBCI on Monday, one Lebanese national, identified as Hajj Hussein Nahleh was killed while others were injured in an explosion targeting a bus carrying Lebanese pilgrims in Iraq.

Nahle who hails from the town of Taybe in South Lebanon is in his forties and had been visiting holy sites with the Hajj Ali Qobbaysi pilgrimage organization.
Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour was notified by the Lebanese embassy charge d’affaires in Baghdad Hazza Sharif who said that the bus had 29 passengers on board when it was targeted.

The injured were transported to Kazmiyya hospital and are currently receiving the necessary treatment.

The NNA reported that the bus had left the Chayyah area in Beirut’s Southern Suburbs days earlier.
