Jumblatt: I will not shed a tear for Sheikh Jarbou

In his first comment on the death of the Head Cleric the Druze in Sweida Hussein Jarbou in Syria, the head of the Progressive Socialist Party MP Walid Jumblatt said on Thursday that "he will not shed a tear for a man who supported a regime that commits massacres against its people," accusing, in a statement to a French agency, the son of Sheikh Jarbou of distributing weapons to the Shabbiha.

Earlier in the day, the Head Cleric (Sheikh Aql) of the Druze in Sweida Hussein Jarbou died on Thursday after a long battle with illness.
