Mikati: Things are on right track in maritime border demarcation agreement

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati confirmed on Monday that things are on the right track regarding the maritime border demarcation agreement between Lebanon and Israel, pointing out that everyone in Lebanon has a unified position over this agreement, for the sake of the country's interest.

 

Mikati’s remarks were made after a tripartite meeting held in Baabda with President Michel Aoun and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, whereby he stressed that they will have a response that will be sent to US mediator Amos Hochstein within this entire context.

 

Mikati then indicated that things are heading on the right path, noting that their position is unified in the interest of Lebanon.
