Tunisian man dies after eating 28 raw eggs

A 20-year-old man in Tunisia died shortly after eating 28 raw eggs for a bet, a local media reported. Dhaou Fatnassi from El Baten, near the northeastern city of Kairouan, held a bet with a group of his friends that he would be able to eat 30 raw eggs for an unrevealed amount of money, Tunisia's Shems FM radio station said.

"Doctors were called in after the young man felt strong stomach pains, but he died on the way," Ria Novosti news agency quoted the radio as saying, noting that the cause of his death is yet to be established, the report said.
