Aoun from Bkerke: Alternative to dialogue is chaos

Head of Change and Reform bloc MP Michel Aoun declared on Sunday that he is ready to meet with anyone to reach a solution for the current crisis.

Following his meeting with Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara Rai in Bkerke, Aoun stressed that the alternative to dialogue is chaos, noting that the solution cannot be reached through boycott.

“First, the majority should reach consensus, then we will negotiate with the other parties,” Aoun said, adding that he would meet with PSP leader Walid Jumblatt, if there is a need.

On the other hand, Aoun noted that he discussed with Rai general developments, pointing that their positions are matching regarding the main issued in the country, expressing reservation over declaring them.
