Berri meets Ghanem, discuss electoral law

House Speaker Nabih Berri chaired a meeting on Thursday with the head of parliaments Administration and Justice Committee MP Robert Gharnem to discuss the electoral law and the mechanism of action to be adopted by the sub-committee charged with devising the law.

In this context, Ghanem announced that the sub-committee will commence its work next Tuesday. He also said that Speaker Berri listened to his remarks in this regard.

Ghanem concluded that hope to a reach a consensus on the issue remains high however the “key to finding common grounds lies within the will of opposing factions.”
