Syrian national found in possession of satellite connection devices at Beirut Airport

Customs security officers in the Passengers' Section at Rafic Hariri International Airport halted on Saturday an attempt to enter satellite connection apparatuses into Lebanon by a Syrian passenger coming from Turkey.

In details, the Syrian passenger was found to be in possession of said devices while crossing through the Customs' check-point at Beirut Airport upon his arrival from Turkey on board a Turkish Airlines flight on Saturday. Three satellite-internet connection apparatuses were found in his luggage. The passenger was immediately detained at the Airport and then handed over to Military Police after informing the Government's Delegate at the Military Court.
