Larsen: Norwegian government offered help for Syrian refugees

State Secretary in the Norwegian Foreign Ministry, Torgeir Larsen stressed on Thursday his country’s support for the work of the Lebanese government and people regarding the humanitarian matter related to the Syrian refugees.

During his meeting with PM Najib Mikati, he declared that the Norwegian government responded to the master plan set up by the Lebanese government in this concern, and offered an amount of 20 million USD, praising the policies adopted by the cabinet by keeping the Lebanese borders open to help the displaced.

He pointed out that the donors’ conference expected to be hosted by Kuwait will attract more help for the Syrian refugees in Lebanon and Syria’s neighboring countries.
