REPORT: A new call for implementing the non-smoking law

Following the increase of the number of restaurants, coffee shops and night clubs that are violating the law 174 that bans smoking in closed public places, the Andy Act organization, which struggled with the civil society in order to issue this law, called for highlighting the violators.

In this context, activists from the organization hanged a banner, calling for the implementation of the non-smoking law, on a building in Mar Mikhael region where a restaurant which violates this law is located.

Accordingly, a number of the restaurants’ employees tried to take off the banner, but failed to do so, after the owner of the restaurant considered that the activists have the freedom of expression.
