Primary Education Teachers' Association confirms strike on Wednesday

The administrative board of the Primary Education Teachers' Association called Sunday on all teachers to commit to the strike on Wednesday January 23rd and to participate in large numbers in the protest which is due to kick off at 11 am from outside the Ministry of Information located at the beginning of Beirut’s Hamra Street all the way to the Grand Serail.

The board stressed the necessity to refer all of the ranks and salaries series to Parliament immediately and without any delay, reiterating its objection to any tax “which would add to the burdens of people with limited income.”
