Tires of 9 UNIFIL vehicles slashed

Unidentified assailants slashed overnight the tires of 9 UNIFIL vehicles parked in the southernmost tip of Tyr, NNA field reporters said. Security forces rushed to the scene and launched an investigation in the case.            

UNIFIL spokesman Andrea Tenenti said that a joint investigation with the Lebanese army is underway to reveal the circumstances of the incident, and that the slashing of tires won't disrupt in any way UNIFIL's lines of communication between Beirut and South of Lebanon.
