Harb: Aoun's question mistrustful

Deputy Boutros Harb said the Taef Accord was able to legalize the half-by-half authority share between Muslims and Christians in Lebanon, in article 24 of the Constitution.

Harb countered General Michel Aoun, who in his latest stance asked Harb whether the latter was aware of the concession made for Muslims to choose one third of the Christian parliamentary seats.

Harb considered Aoun's question as "mistrustful."

"We went to Taef due to the miserable situation of the country that was caused by his [Aoun's] uncalculated adventures and we managed in Taef to restore Lebanon's sovereignty," said Harb.
