Polish ambassador to Iraq's convoy attacked - no injuries

Poland's ambassador to Iraq escaped without injury after his convoy of vehicles was attacked near Kirkuk, northern Iraq, by a road-side explosive device, Foreign Ministry spokesman Marcin Bosacki reported.             

The attack on Ambassador General Lech Stefaniak's convoy occurred on Saturday morning, Polish time.            

Bosacki stressed that the Iraqi authorities are conducting investigations in order to reveal whether the attack was targeting the ambassador.
