Aoun: Rai's visit to Syria will have a positive impact on Christians

 
Head of the Change and Reform bloc MP Michel Aoun stressed on Tuesday that belittling the issue of Arsal is not acceptable, adding that talk will not change the fact that two LAF martyrs fell in the ambush. 

During a press conference held following the bloc's weekly meeting, Aoun pointed out that "Ibra’a al-Mostahil" (Impossible Exoneration) is a book that contains corruption scandals on record and can be taken as a transcript to the Public Prosecution.

Commenting on Rai's visit to Syria, MP Aoun expressed his appreciation toward the move, adding that the visit will have a positive impact on the Christian community and society as a whole.           

On the issue of the elections, Aoun accused those who wish to postpone the elections of aiming at striking [one of] the pillars of society.               

Separately, he noted that environmental and security officials should be held accountable for negative effects of sand quarries in the country.

On another note, Aoun commented on slanders against the Telecommunications Ministry, especially in terms of the handover of telecom data, saying that the security apparatuses are obtaining the telecom data as per the law, while the minister is approving over 300 requests a month.
