Charbel briefs Sleiman on Islamist file

In a meeting held on Monday, Interior Minister Marwan Charbel informed President Michel Sleiman of the security situation and the measures that would maintain stability, in addition to the electoral file put forward.

In this context, Sleiman and Minister of Justice Shakib Qortbawi discussed the work of the judiciary and public prosecutions as well as the registration of the civil marriage contract between Nidal and Kholoud Darwiche.

On another note, the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council Jean Fahed also met Sleiman with talks featuring high on the investigations with Islamist detainees and the importance of expediting the completion of the trials that were submitted before the judiciary.
