REPORT: Assir: Hezbollah seeks to reignite civil strife

Imam of Bilal Bin Rabah Mosque Sheikh Ahmad Assir said on Friday that the intervention of Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in Syria is the only factor leading to strife, calling on the party to hand over the killers of late former Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri, and to deliver its weapons to the security apparatuses, “if it really wants to evade sedition.”

During his Friday Sermon, Assir stressed that the Sunni sect seeks to prevent strife, noting that six clerics, not 4, were attacked in Khandak al-Ghamik.
