Fatfat to LBCI: Our political decision is final

Future bloc MP Ahmad Fatfat said on Wednesday that the March 14 alliance will not reveal its candidate for the prime ministry before Thursday or Friday, pointing out that the final decision in this matter will be taken by former PM Saad Hariri, in coordination with allies.

Fatfat told LBCI that March 14 is seeking a cabinet capable of holding the elections, ruling out any possibility of accepting a national unity government amid the current situation, and stating that “whomever calls for a political cabinet does not want the elections to be held,” he said in reference to the March 8 bloc's insistence that the next cabinet be one of a political nature.

On the other hand, Fatfat said that the Future bloc will not boycott parliamentary sessions, pointing out that Future deputies will leave the session should the Orthodox draft law be on the parliament’s agenda.

However, Fatfat revealed that head of the National Struggle Front MP Walid Jumblatt “will not take a position against the Future movement.”
