Vatican denies reports on former Pope's health deterioration

The Vatican denied on Thursday a report that appeared in the Spanish daily El Mundo stating that the health of former Pope Benedict has worsened, Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi said.

The report in El Mundo quotes Spanish Journalist Paloma Gomez-Borrero saying that “Benedict XVI had suffered deterioration in health over the past 15 days.”
