Bassil unveils drinking water and irrigation systems in Selaata and Edde

Caretaker Minister of Energy and Water Gebran Bassil vowed on Saturday “that the region of Batroun will no longer be deprived of development projects and that the residents will be granted their rights”.

During a ceremony to unveil the systems of drinking water and irrigation in the towns of Selaata and Edde in Batroun, in the presence of the mayors and official figures, Bassil stressed that this project has been placed two years ago, but administrative, technical and financial procedures have been hindering its accomplishment.

On the other hand, Bassil noted that two wells were constructed in the towns of Rasnhash and Ibrin, in coordination with the municipalities of the said towns, pointing out that these wells will secure large quantities of water for the residents.
