REPORT: FSA publishes Hezbollah fighter's ID card after violent confrontations in al-Qusaair

The media office of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) in the town of al-Qussair posted an ID and a Party membership identification card of a member of Hezbollah identified as Mohamed Hassan al-Mokdad from the Bekaa town of Ma’ne.        

In this context, a regional leader from the FSA's battalion of Abdullah Shamseddine stressed that members from Hezbollah were ambushed by the Free Syrian Army, leaving Mohamed injured.           

The leader added that members from Hezbollah pulled the victim out of the scene while the FSA seized weapons and documents and kept them unveiled in order to use them later on.          

Earlier, the media office broadcast a video of opposition fighters in the town of al-Qussair where different forms of fighting and confrontations are taking place.            

The video does not indicate the presence of members from Hezbollah on the battle field; it only shows the testimonies of fighters who assured that they will not allow the region to fall.       

This as the FSA rejected calls made by Sheikhs Salem Rafei and the Imam of Bilal bin Rabbah mosque Sheikh Ahmad Assir to support the al-Qussair citizens.               

In this regard, Free Syrian Army official spokesperson, Louai al-Meqdad said that "the FSA's leadership thanks the two sheikhs for this step, but rejects any call for Jihad in Syria".            

Al-Meqdad added that the leadership rejects the presence of foreign fighters in Syria stressing that "the opposition does not need men, but needs weapons instead".
