Paris to call on Arab nations to back down from banning Lebanese film

Minister for la Francophonie in the French Government and film director Yamina Benguigui declared that Paris is intending to mediate in order to lead the Arab nations members of the International Organisation of La Francophonie to back down from their decision to ban the screening of Lebanese director Ziad Doueiry’s latest film “The Attack”.

The Minister noted that she will deploy strong efforts so that Lebanon would allow the screening of the movie, revealing that she discussed the issue with the Lebanese caretaker Minister of Culture Gaby Layoun.
