Ghosn: Chiyah rockets incident aims at tampering with Lebanon’s stability

Caretaker Defense Minister Fayez Ghosn categorized on Sunday the Chiyah incident as “an act aiming at tampering with security and stability,” noting that the beneficiaries of such an incident are Lebanon’s enemies who “cannot stand to see calmness and stability on the Lebanese scene.”

In this context, Ghosn issued a statement whereby he said that “no matter how many stories emerge regarding the Grad rockets launch, the only certain explanation is that this incident is an attempt to create strife between the Lebanese people,” noting that everything depends on the degree of awareness and national responsibility of the Lebanese citizens during the current critical situation.

On the other hand, Ghosn stressed that the Lebanese army and the security and judicial apparatuses was working on completing the inquiries in this case, asking all the parties to abstain from launching analyses and predictions.
