Caretaker Minister Abboud launches Zouk Mikael festivals' schedule

Caretaker Minister of Tourism Fadi Abboud launched on Thursday the schedule for the Zouk Mikael international festivals set to be held on the 23rd of June 2013.

The event was held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beirut, in the presence of Caretaker Minister of Environment Gabi Layoun and other figures.

In his word, Minister Abboud stressed the importance of holding such festivals and boosting the tourism sector in Lebanon, calling on politicians to bear their "national responsibly over the tourism sector in Lebanon."

Describing the security situation as "critical", Abboud said that the situation is "delicate" in all Middle Eastern countries, calling on tourists, to "seriously consider Lebanon as a destination".

For his part, Caretaker Minister Layyoun said that diversity is part of the country's identity, "a characteristic Lebanon ought to preserve."
