Three Lebanese, two Syrian nationals arrested in Aley

A Lebanese Armed Forces patrol arrested on Sunday three Lebanese nationals and 2 Syrians in western Aley for possessing weapons, and seized their vehicle which had a forged registration plate.

Following investigations, it was revealed that they were attempting to kidnap a Syrian national in order to exchange him for another national detained in Syria’s al-Qusayr,

The Lebanese nationals were identified as Samir Ghazi, Ali Oueita and Akram Omar, while the Syrian nationals were identified as Alaa and Abdel Rahman al-Chibani.
