Hong Kong shares were set to edge higher on Thursday, recouping some of this week's losses, after stocks on Wall Street rose more than 2 percent overnight led by the beaten-down financial sector.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index was set to open up 0.56 percent at 20,159.29. The China Enterprises Index of top Hong Kong-listed mainland companies was indicated to start up 0.83 percent.
