17 Coronavirus cases among Central Bank employees
The Lebanese Central Bank issued a statement on Thursday affirming that only 17 coronavirus cases have been detected among its employees since March 2020, adding that most of them have recovered and resumed work.

“None of the 17 cases has contact with the bank’s senior management,” the statement said, adding that the PCR results of the Governor’s First Deputy were incorrect as per two other negative tests — the first at the same laboratory and the second at another.

“The Bank’s governor underwent a PCR test for travel reasons. He did not attend any meeting without taking all the required preventive measures, and the result of his PCR test was negative,” the statement concluded.
