Araji: No lockdown for foreseeable future
Parliamentary Health Committee head MP Assem Araji said on Tuesday that no lockdown will be imposed in the foreseeable future despite the growing number of Coronavirus cases in the country.

Araji’s comments were made during an interview with Voice of Lebanon radio station during which he noted that 350 patients are currently in the Intensive Care units.

He also stressed that the health sector is no longer able to confront the virus due to the shortage of medicine and medical equipment, the collapse of the Lebanese pound and the immigration of nurses and doctors.

“We are heading to the worse,” Araji concluded by saying.
