[PHOTOS] Military expert inspects suspicious bag in Beirut's Corniche al-Mazraa
A military expert inspected on Friday a suspicious bag near a dumpster in Beirut's Corniche al-Mazraa region.

The bag, which turned out to be safe and devoid of explosives was reported for fears of a terrorist attack in light of recent security upheavals in the country.

On Wednesday, a Saudi suicide bomber, identified as Abdel Rahman Houmayki, blew himself up at the Duroy Hotel in Beirut's Raouche region as General Security forces were raiding the said hotel, wounding several people, including members from the General Security.

The Liwaa Ahrar al-Sunna Baalbek militants claimed via their twitter account responsibility for the attack.

According to the state-run National News Agency, two suicide bombers were at the Duroy Hotel, pointing out that the first blew himself up inside the hotel while security forces were able to arrest the other.

The attack was the third suicide bombing in Lebanon in less than a week.
