Caretaker Foreign Affairs Minister Gebran Bassil said Monday that Lebanon can neither bear nor accept the decision to end the role of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency.
During a meeting with the ambassadors of hosting countries, donor states and parties with the issue of the UNRWA, Bassil called on the ambassadors to inform their governments of the real danger of this matter, urging them to continue their funding for the agency.
“It’s a matter of life or death,” he noted.
