Lebanon and Jordan sign an agreement to supply electricity

Lebanese Minister of Energy Walid Fayyad announced on Wednesday that Lebanon and Jordan signed today an agreement to transfer electricity to Lebanon through Syria.

The agreement will provide Lebanon with about 150 megawatts from midnight until 6:00 AM local time and 250 megawatts throughout the day, which is equivalent to about two full hours of electricity consumption.
