Caretaker Defense Minister Ghosn meets with Army Commander Kahwagi

Caretaker Minister of Defense Fayez Ghosn met on Tuesday with Lebanese Armed Forces Commander Major General Jean Kahwagi.

Discussions featured high on the latest security events, and developments in the country, and the procedures adopted by the LAF in several Lebanese regions.

Caretaker Minister Ghosn hailed the efforts exerted by the LAF, mainly in the North and the Bekaa regions, stressing that the security plan will be "fully implemented" in order to restore security and stability in the country.

He also reiterated his support to the LAF to carry out what the command "deems appropriate to protect Lebanon's civil peace."
