LF's Katicha says Syrian regime rescued Hezbollah in Syria's al-Qusayr battles

The consultant of the Lebanese forces retired general Wehbe Katicha stressed on Thursday that the actions undertaken by the Imam of Bilal bin Rabbah mosque Sheikh Ahmad Assir "are a result of the Lebanese state's inaction and the deterioration at the economic and the security levels," citing the presence of arms as the main reason behind his movements.

In an interview with LBCI's Nharkom Said TV Show, Katicha pointed out that "all Hezbollah members could have died in Syria" had the Syrian regime failed to "pull them out of the al-Qusayr 'swamp'".

He added that the "Syrian regime's air force, tanks and artillery weapons were behind Hezbollah's victory" in the town of al-Qusayr.
