Houri: March 14 mulls possibility of boycotting legislative session

Future Movement MP Ammar Houri said on Tuesday that “Wednesday’s parliament session does not measure up to the heated situation and the current political tension”, adding that “the absence of interrogations restricts the political movement and does not allow a vote of confidence to the minister [Mansour] or cabinet.”

Houri told Voice of Lebanon that March 14 forces will raise questions based on the current reality, and “will express denunciation of Lebanon’s shameful position at the Arab League and its stance on the abductions of Syrians.”

Houri confirmed that deliberations within March 14 are ongoing, mulling the possibility of boycotting the legislative session.

March 14 lawmakers are considering putting Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour to a confidence vote after the latter voted against the Arab League decision to suspend Syria’s membership.
