Cabinet gives go-ahead for high-voltage lines in Mansourieh

During Wednesday's meeting, the cabinet passed the decision to install high voltage power lines in Mansourieh in accordance to its previous decision.

The Cabinet held a meeting today at the Presidential Palace in Baabda under the chairmanship of President Michel Sleiman, attended by PM Najib Mikati and all the ministers.  

The cabinet discussed the 2013 electoral law, the Constitutional Council prerogatives, withdrawing the Lebanese citizenship from illegible persons as well as the latest security events in the country.      

Prior to the cabinet gathering, a closed meeting was held between President Sleiman and PM Mikati to discuss general issues.  

On the other hand the Minister of Interior Marwan Charbel said that Tyre blasts occurred on Wednesday morning is being closely followed by Internal Security Forces to reveal all hidden aspects of the sabotage act.  

The Minister of Agriculture Hussein Hajj Hassan mentioned that “The Tyre terrorist explosions will only serve our enemies interests despite what we think about alcohol trade”.  

Social Affairs' Minister Wael Abou Faour commented on Lebanon’s stance in the Arab League saying that “as a political party we were not aware of these stances, we would rather distance Lebanon from all these issues as we have enough problems to solve and we should protect Lebanon from any strife”.
