Future bloc: Hezbollah responsible for the Abra incidents

The Future bloc held on Tuesday its weekly meeting in which it discussed the latest developments in the country.

Following the meeting, MP Bassem al-Shab read a statement in the name of the convened members in which he reiterated the bloc's support for a civil, fair and democratic Lebanese state.

The bloc also voiced its support to the Lebanese Armed Forces and its role in preserving security in the country, urging it to end all armed presence in Sidon.

MP al-Shab called for a transparent investigation on the incidents that took place in Sidon's Abra, holding Hezbollah responsible for the killing, thefts and insults that occurred in the city.

The bloc demanded a prompt investigation into the death of Palestinian detainee Nader al-Bayoumi.

On another note, the bloc also called for a swift formation of the new government, urging the Lebanese leaders to facilitate the task of Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam.
