Azzi to LBCI: Amin Gemayel's visit to Sidon aimed at expressing solidarity with the city

Kataeb party MP Sejaan Azzi declared on Friday that Kataeb party leader Amin Gemayel visited the southern city of Sidon in order to stress the party’s solidarity with the city’s leaderships.

In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Azzi said that the Lebanese Army’s sacrifices should not be forgotten, stressing that the great achievements of the army soldiers must not be turned into encroachments.

In this context, Azzi criticized "the parties which directly address the army Command, noting that such a move strikes the authority of the military institution."

On another note, MP Azzi stressed that Hezbollah cannot maintain its possession of illegal arms without a plan, pointing out that the Shiite party is no longer required to defend Lebanon against Israel with the presence of the UNIFIL and the demarcation of the blue line.
