Speaker Berri meets with Maj. Gen. Abbas Ibrahim

Speaker Nabih Berri met on Monday with the General Security head Major General Abbas Ibrahim to discuss the security situation in the country.

Speaker Berri also held talks with the Norwegian ambassador to Lebanon Svein Aas and discussed with him bilateral relations.

Among Speaker Berri's visitors was the Maronite Father Antoine Khalife and MP Akram Chehayeb.

On another note, Speaker Berri received a letter from Head of the Islamic Shura Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ali Larijani to congratulate him over the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan.

The letter also mentioned the necessity of solidifying the Lebanese-Iranian ties.
