Brigade 313- Special Tasks claims responsibility of Dahieh’s explosion

The Syrian Brigade 313- Special Tasks claimed on Wednesday responsibility of the explosion that rocked the Beirut Southern suburbs region of Bir al-Abed, adding in a statement on its Facebook page that the attack is a response to Hezbollah’s intervention in the Syrian crisis alongside the regime.

The brigade also claimed responsibility of the two bombs that exploded on the highway of Zahle city, on the 28th of June, targeting a Hezbollah convoy en route to Syria.

In turn, the Free Syrian Army denounced the Dahieh incident, describing it as a terrorist attack.

A large explosion rocked a stronghold of the Hezbollah group south of the Lebanese capital Tuesday, setting several cars on fire and causing an unknown number of casualties, security officials said.

The powerful blast that left 53 civilians injured came as many among Lebanon's Shiites began observing the holy month of Ramadan, and is the worst explosion to hit the area in years as a direct fallout of the civil war raging in neighboring Syria.
