REPORT: Protesters hold sit-in, call for applying Journalist's pact

Protesters launched on Thursday a campaign entitled “Together for Civil Peace” and held a sit-in outside the Information Ministry, calling on the National Media Council (NMC) to implement the Journalist's pact in order to preserve civil peace and avoid sectarian strife, the state-run National News Agency reported.

It is worth noting that Caretaker Information Minister Walid Daouk alongside NMC’s President Abdul Hadi Mahfouz participated in the sit-in.
