Salam meets with Iran’s Rokenabadi, discusses local and regional developments

Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ghadanfar Rokenabadi reiterated on Wednesday his country’s support to the Lebanese people, noting that the salvation of Lebanon and the end of the country’s political crisis may only be achieved through dialogue.

During a meeting with Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam at his residence in Msaytbeh, Rokenabadi handed the latter a letter from the Iranian President's First Deputy Mohammad Reza Rahimi on the occasion of Lebanon’s victory in the July war of 2006.

Following the meeting, the Iranian diplomat said that he discussed with MP Salam the latest local and regional developments, stressing on the bilateral relations between Lebanon and Iran.

Rokenabadi added that they discussed the Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations, reiterating Iran's support to the Palestinian cause.
