Liwaa Asifat al-Chamal says will release two Azaz hostages if female prisoners freed

    
Liwaa Asifat al-Chamal issued a statement on Sunday whereby it announced that it will not hold negotiations over the abduction of the Lebanese hostages held in Syria's Aazaz before the release of female prisoners detained in Damascus.      

"We had submitted to the international committee the names of 370 women detained in Syria to swap with two pilgrims,” the Brigade said in a statement posted on its official Facebook page.            

“The Syrian regime claimed it has only 127 detainees, and we agreed," the statement said.       
It added however that “Iran's party [Hezbollah] started to procrastinate and sent fighters to Aleppo and Homs, noting that the Brigade does not hold negotiations with the Syrian regime unless through the international committee tasked with this mission.”              

Eleven Lebanese pilgrims were kidnapped on their way back from Iran by insurgents hoping to use them for a prisoner swap on the 22nd of May. Only two have so far been released.                                    

Their families have vowed to continue their movements until all their loved ones have returned home safe and sound.                                        

They accuse Ankara of sponsoring the kidnapping and the Lebanese government of inaptness in this regard.                         

They also held a major demonstration in Martyrs Square before the Turkish Airline offices whereby they announced that they would be calling for the boycott of all Turkish products in Lebanon since "Lebanon imports a billion dollars worth of products from Ankara on a yearly basis."
