MP Jumblatt praises Hariri’s initiative, says PSP studying solutions for political impasse

Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblat lamented Monday the failure to form a new government, warning of the vacuum that could affect several official posts should this continue.                

In this regard, MP Jumblatt told the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Anbaa that “the political void and impasse may no longer continue ahead of next year's presidential elections.”                  

Jumblatt noted that the Progressive Socialist Party is currently studying various solutions to address this deadlock “away from conspiracy theories.”
                 
MP Jumblatt also praised the stance of Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri; shedding light on the latter’s latest initiative in which he expressed his readiness to resume national dialogue sessions in order to resolve the country’s pending disputes.                              

On a similar note, MP Jumblat lauded the Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun's recent remarks in support of President Michel Sleiman.           

Separately, the Progressive Socialist Party leader commented on Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's latest speech whereby the latter reiterated his support for the Palestinian cause and for the liberation of the occupied Lebanese territories.

In his response to Nasrallah's speech, MP Jumblatt called for granting Palestinians the right of deciding their fate themselves.
