Lebanese man survives choking attempt

A security source reported on Tuesday that a Lebanese citizen thwarted the attempt of an unknown man to strangle him with a plastic cable.

The source added that Elias Emile Nasrallah survived an attempt to choke him until death inside an apartment in the Dekwaneh region.

Nasrallah was rushed to the Mashreq hospital for treatment, while police launched investigations into the incident.

Reasons of the attack are yet to be known.
