Lebanon Electricity standby workers protest before Grand Serail

Standby workers for Lebanon Electricity staged a protest on Wednesday before the Grand Serail in Riyad El Soleh amid tight security measures.

The protesters were claiming their rights, mainly to become temporary salaried employees to benefit from social security, transportation allowance and scholarships.

Labor General Confederation Head Ghassan Ghosn later joined the protesters.
