Raad: Cabinet formation process still immature

Member of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Mohammad Raad said on Friday that the cabinet formation process is still “immature”, noting that the “fait accompli cabinet was at first the proposal of the Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam and then endorsed by President Michel Sleiman during the speech he delivered on the occasion of Army Day.”

In a statement to Voice of Lebanon radio station, Raad pointed out that he is not aware of the readiness of the head of the National Struggle Front MP Walid Jumblatt to vote in favor of the said proposal, adding that the latter is presenting solutions without confirming if he will help in guaranteeing a majority of the votes for the proposal.
