MP Jumblatt dubs Syrian army "sectarian"

National Struggle Front leader MP Walid Jumblatt called on Tuesday the Syrian army to "topple" President Bashar al-Assad as the Egyptian army did with President Mohammad Morsi.

He also considered that the final countdown for the Syrian regime has begun, noting that the current field developments fall in the interest of the Syrian rebels.

MP Jumblatt's stances came via Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper, where he also described the Syrian army as "sectarian".

He also noted that there are no disputes with the Future movement, saying that the party alongside Hezbollah should not have interfere in the Syrian crisis.

MP Jumblatt then urged Hezbollah's Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah to withdraw Hezbollah fighters from Syria.

He concluded by slamming media reports saying that Syria will be divided into three separate states.
