LAF Commando regiment organizes race from Laqlouq to Bsharri

The Lebanese Army Commandos (Maghaweer) Regiment organized, for the fifth year in a row under the sponsorship of the LAF Commander General Jean Qahwaji, a race consisting of a military hiking exercise on Sunday August 18, starting from the Istirahet al-Skhour barracks in Laqlouq, to Youssef Rahme barracks in Bsharri.

Around 1500 civilians, women and children, in addition to military personnel and the United Nations Interim Forces in Lebanon, participated in the race that included a 12 km stretch for children under the age of 14, a 23 km race for women, and a 40 km race for those wanting to take on a bigger challenge.
