Sleiman tasks Mansour with raising complaint before UN regarding Israeli attack on Al-Naameh

Lebanese President Michel Sleiman called Friday on Foreign Affairs Minister Adnan Mansour to raise an urgent complaint before the United Nations’ Security Council against the Israeli assault on south Lebanon’s Al-Naameh region.

In this regard, Minister Mansour said the Israeli attack carried out today on Al-Naameh is a clear aggression of Lebanon’s sovereignty, adding that violations to the 1701 UN resolution should not be addressed by direct assaults on Lebanon.

Mansour denounced the Israeli attack on Lebanon, and mentioned that a complaint will be raised before the United Nations, stressing that the International Community will be informed of the daily Israeli violations to the country's airspace.

On another note, Minister Mansour met with Russian Ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Saspkin, who stressed that discussions with various factions are underway in preparation for the Geneva 2 peace conference to end the Syrian crisis.
